ATLANTA, GA – "Tie on your Apron in the Kitchen of Prayer," an award-winning Bible study from new Christian author Becky Reeser Terry, promises to refresh your relationship with God through diversifying your prayer life. Using a creative acronym of A.P.R.O.N., the Bible study is broken into chapters each focusing on five key elements to guide your conversation with God.

With the light-hearted theme of food and cooking, Kitchen of Prayer is a casual, yet challenging Bible study filled with scripture, thought-provoking questions and rich resources to help women learn and grow in their faith.

“We see throughout the Gospels that Jesus loved dining – it wasn’t the food He craved, but the communing, the conversation, the close connection. My hope and prayer is that through this Bible study women remember the amazing privilege that they have to communicate with Jesus through prayer and be encouraged and inspired to make it a priority,” said Terry, who has been championing women’s ministry for almost 50 years.

Readers will also delight in reading Terry’s testimony, as well as stories and recipes from her family’s diner outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Tie on your Apron in the Kitchen of Prayer won the 2023 AWSA (Advanced Writers and Speakers Association) Christian Market Devotional of the Year and second place in the Golden Scroll Devotional Book of the Year. It was also a finalist in the Bible Study category of the 2024 Christian Indie Awards.

Terry lives outside Atlanta, Georgia where she and her husband raised their identical twin daughters. More information can be found at www.beckyreeserterry.com.

Becky Terry’s heart for women and encouraging them in their faith journeys enlarged decades ago when she first planned a women’s retreat for her church. Becky became a leader in the women’s ministry orchestrating a myriad of special events and retreats and shepherding prayer groups. Her creative, thoughtful and interactive retreats would require a year-round planning process that women talk about years later. One year’s retreat theme inspired Becky’s first book for women. In the engaging pages of Tie on your Apron in the Kitchen of Prayer, Becky joyfully captures her deep desire to draw women closer to God through Bible study and prayer.

A native of Pennsylvania, Becky lives in Georgia with her husband, Jim, where they welcome visits from their identical twin daughters, son-in-love, and grandson. Becky enjoys reading and writing, walking her quirky poodle, and decorating for Christmas.
