NASHVILLE, Tenn.— Best-selling female comedian Chonda Pierce today announced her comedy tour "Chonda Pierce Live" will resume at Dominion Valley Park in Stuart, VA, October 2 —after being interrupted in March at the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.
Befitting only the recognized “Queen of Clean,” Pierce will bring her signature timing and home-spun laughs in two formats this fall, adding in select cities a new drive-in theater show at dusk to her award-winning standup concert tour. ““For a comedian, timing is everything, and I am so excited the time has finally come for me to hit the road, return to doing what I love and to again see the beautiful faces of all my amazing fans—well at least those parts visible from six feet away and not covered by a surgical mask,” Pierce quipped about the new normal ushered in by COVID-19.
Though Pierce has been quarantined and taking safety precautions like the rest of the world, she has also been keeping her audiences laughing by doing comedy on social media from home as a Quarantined Comic.
“Mandated social-distancing, lockdowns and other life-altering changes caused by the coronavirus have folks stressed, depressed, and struggling with faith in God. People could use some laughs and I am one of those people,” Pierce said.
This fall, Chonda is all the way live debuting new material from her inimitable life, before and during the COVID-19 pandemic, “that’s better than fiction.” She will share her stories, experiences and testimonies that will make audiences laugh, while feeling right at home.
After a five-month delay, Chonda eagerly anticipates appearing live on stage—indoors and outdoors--during more than 15 tour dates.
