NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Jan. 30,2026). — What began as a vision from a Seattle-based entrepreneur has grown into a dynamic streaming and full-service media destination where faith-centered storytelling flourishes—and that vision is now receiving national recognition.
FaithChannel, which began as a streaming platform dedicated to uplifting, family-friendly entertainment, is

celebrating multiple Crown Award nominations for its clients and distribution projects at the 53rd Annual Crown Awards, held during the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) Convention on February 18, 2026, in Nashville.
“As I looked around at the modern media landscape, I saw a world overflowing with content—but starving for meaning,” said FaithChannel CEO John Stewart. “God placed a vision in my heart decades ago to create a space where faith-centered entertainment could thrive, where creators could share stories that inspire, and where families could connect to content that draws them closer to Jesus.”
Stewart’s calling began in 1995 with a spiritual transformation that reshaped his career trajectory. That vision became a reality in 2024 with the launch of FaithChannel—a platform committed to showcasing films, documentaries, series, and theatrical productions that “glorify God while strengthening viewers’ hearts and spirits.” In recent years, FaithChannel has burgeoned into a multi-service company, also encompassing FaithChannel Productions LLC, FaithChannel Distribution LLC and the FaithChannel Marketing Group.
That mission is now being affirmed on a national stage.
Among the Crown Award–nominated projects is Learning You, directed by Crown Award nominee Tyler Sansom, produced by The Chosen’s Justen Overlander, and co-executive produced by FaithChannel, which also oversaw its theatrical release earlier this year. Starring Daniel Roebuck, Cameron Arnett, Stacey Haiduk and Crown nominee for Best Actor John Wells, the film explores autism awareness through a redemptive lens. It follows an architect on a road trip with his autistic son—a journey of struggle and hope that ultimately inspires a billionaire developer facing a similar path.
Also receiving recognition is Better Together, directed by Crown Award-nominee Kyle Roberts and relaunching this spring in partnership with the crowd-funding platform, Good Works, and Faith Channel Distribution. The film celebrates unity, community, and faith-driven storytelling through the story of a group of teens on a wilderness quest to find a legendary landmark—an adventure that forces them to confront tragedy, inner darkness, and the redemptive power of friendship and faith.
Dot Conner: Webtective, from filmmakers Andrew and Jae Huff, is a fun and exciting mystery adventure for the whole family, launching this spring through FaithChannel Distribution's new products, TheaterFlix and MinistryFlix. The movie follows teen internet sleuth Dot Conner who searches for her missing father while also juggling her chaotic first week of high school. When the mystery takes an unexpected turn, Dot learns to lean on her faith. It is nominated for three Crown Awards, as well as for Best Children’s Streaming series by the 33rd Movieguide Awards.
In addition to its nominated projects, FaithChannel is highlighting several bold and diverse projects at NRB that reflect the company’s creative breadth:
Mendel’s Messiah, created by Wendy and Jeremiah Ginsberg, is the film adaptation of the Bronze Halo-Awarding-winning Off-Broadway musical launching through FaithChannel Distribution in Easter 2026. Blending faith, music, and dramatic storytelling, the production offers a powerful redemptive experience designed to engage both believers and seekers through high drama, dynamic dance and uplifting, unforgettable music. The film will premiere at NRB during an exclusive showing, Feb. 18 at 1 PM.
Jesus Freaks, distributed by FaithChannel, is a bold, faith-forward film by Kevin and Sam Sorbo that explores radical belief, redemption, and unapologetic faith in today’s culture.
During NRB, FaithChannel will also provide audiences a sneak peak of its new Christian sitcom, The Flock. Created by Hayden Christensen and executive produced by Stewart in association with FaithChannel Productions and CineMammoth Productions, the series brings humor and heart to faith-based television, offering a fresh and engaging look at Christian community and everyday faith.
The Christmas King, created by Butch Hartman Studios and Garden Productions (Nickelodeon’s The Fairly OddParents and Danny Phantom), was released in 2025 on FaithChannel, Angel Studios, and Apple TV, and is distributed by FaithChannel Distribution. From Butch and Julieann Hartman’s The Garden series, which premiered as their first Christian series on Pure Flix in 2023, the animated film follows Lenny the Lion and Lucy the Lamb as they journey to deliver the first snowflake to the Christmas King atop Christmas Mountain.
Together, these projects underscore FaithChannel’s growing influence in faith-based media—demonstrating that stories rooted in truth can showcase big names, big stories and big heart.
