QUEEN OF CLEAN DEBUTS NEW COMEDY TOUR SITTING ON A THRONE OF LAUGHS

NASHVILLE, Tenn.— Best-selling female comedian of all time and beloved “Queen of Clean,” Chonda Pierce returns to the road with two comedy tours this fall, including her new “Chonda Pierce: Let's Sit and Talk Tour” playing only in select locations beginning Oct. 3. And then, back by popular demand, Chonda will continue building on the momentum of her successful “Still Laughing” spring tour, with more U.S. dates beginning Oct. 17. For more information, visit www.Chonda.org. For three decades, Chonda has entertained millions of fans in arenas to more intimate settings with her unique brand of heartwarming stand-up comedy--always sharing tales rooted in her southern upbringing that have audiences laughing so hard their faces hurt!

In her latest live show--Chonda Pierce: Let's Sit and Talk Tour--Chonda debuts a fresh, more intimate concert atmosphere, reminiscent of staging made popular by comedian Billy Crystal. Seated on stage at a 1970’s retro-style kitchen table, Chonda will share her stories, experiences and testimony during a hilarious interview by her close friend and fellow acclaimed comic, Bone Hampton. Designed for intimacy and laughs, the new format will make audiences feel right at home.

“Think of my new sit-down concerts as a close-up, personal but humorous conversation you might have with a relative or friend, while seated at your momma’s kitchen table or leaning over the fence in your own backyard,” said Chonda.Launching Oct. 3 through Oct. 16, Chonda Pierce: Let's Sit and Talk Tour will visit Sioux Falls, SD; Elkhorn, NE; Columbia, MO; Hot Springs, AR; Waco, TX; Tulsa, OK; and Pineville, LA.

Then, beginning Oct. 17 through Nov. 24, the fall leg of Chonda’s “Still Laughing” tour will deliver Chonda’s prescription of home-spun comedy during an uplifting and encouraging night of laughter and music. Tour cities include Fairhope, AL; Lake Charles, LA; Montgomery, AL; Macon, GA; Warsaw, IN; Parkersburg, WV; Akron, OH; Ashland, KY; Paducah, KY; Mountain Home, AR; Joplin, MO; Valdosta, GA; Ft. Myers, FL; Jacksonville, FL; Birmingham, AL; Greenwell Springs, LA; Arlington, TX; Sugarland, TX; and El Dorado, AR.

“I love my job and I love the people that show up at my job,” Pierce says. “But lately we have navigated through personal pain, tragedy, grief and depression together. This time around, I’m feeling stronger. I can breathe again and laugh harder! And oh, what fun we are about to have!”

A stand-up comedian, television hostess, author and actress, Chonda Pierce has been making people laugh for more three decades with her winning combination of fierce wit and southern charm. The Recording Industry Association of America’s (RIAA) best-selling female comedian of all time, Pierce has six Platinum DVDs, three Gold DVDs and five Daytime Emmy® Award nominations to her credit and has been ranked among Pollstar’s top-selling live performers.

In May, Chonda released “Unashamed,” her largest documentary film project to date, showing on more than 1,000 U.S. screens. Chonda’s third documentary captures her personal triumphs that she shared in her 2017 documentary “Enough.” In ‘Unashamed,” Chonda interviews both well-known and little known Christians on their commitment to stand for Christ amid cultural backlash. Featured are real estate entrepreneurs and identical twins David and Jason Benham, who lost an HGTV contract because of their stand for biblical marriage; former Arkansas Gov. and U.S. presidential candidate Mike Huckabee; Newsboys frontman Michael Tait; and Dove Award-winning singer and songwriter Danny Gokey. A variety of professionals including school teachers, comedians and others are also interviewed in the film. In 2018, the premier of her second Fathom Events/Fuseic Entertainment one-night documentary, “Chonda Pierce: Enough,” garnered the highest per screen average of all nationwide theatrical releases that day. The film’s debut and encore presentations were viewed on a combined total of more than 1,500 screens around the country. “Enough” follows Pierce’s 2015 award-winning documentary, “Laughing in the Dark,” which chronicled her life in the wake of her husband’s death.
