NASHVILLE, Tenn. — “Girlfriends, put on your waterproof mascara, and get ready to laugh until your sides ache and your mascara runs,” says Emmy-nominated and best-selling comic Chonda Pierce, whose Life Is Funny Tour launches this March.

The reigning Queen of Clean returns to the road with her unique brand of feisty Southern wit. And in May, Chonda will release her anticipated memoir, titled Life Is Funny Until It’s Not . It recounts a preacher's daughter's childhood filled with heartbreak, including abuse, her parents' divorce, and the sudden deaths of her two sisters in the span of two years.

Even after Chonda achieved success in her comedy tours, trials and tragedy dogged her through marriage, motherhood, and widowhood. “God was there with me through every sorrow and every joy,” she says about her story that she hopes “will inspire readers to turn to God and trust his faithfulness.”
